Privacy policy

A clear overview of how SIM Garage processes data during website visits, purchases and customer care.

1. Controller and contact

The personal data controller is C.V.G. s. r. o., operator of the SIM Garage online shop. Requests concerning personal data can be sent to info@simgarage.cz or to the registered office address.

2. Data we process

  • Identification and contact details, especially name, email, phone number and delivery address.
  • Company and billing details when purchasing for a business, especially company name, company ID and VAT ID.
  • Order, cart, product, price, delivery, pickup point, payment and order status data.
  • Customer account data and order history when a customer account is used.
  • Contents of communications, claims, returns and other requests.
  • Technical data required for security and operation, such as IP address in operational logs, session identifiers and browser data.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Cart, order, payment and delivery: steps before entering into a contract and performance of the contract.
  • Customer account: performance of the contract and provision of the requested account function.
  • Invoicing and accounting: compliance with legal obligations.
  • Claims, returns and customer communication: performance of the contract, legal obligations and protection of legal claims.
  • Security and abuse prevention: legitimate interest in secure shop operation.

4. Recipients of personal data

We disclose data only to the extent necessary to process an order, meet legal obligations and operate the shop securely. Depending on the selected delivery, payment and invoicing methods, recipients may include:

  • hosting, e-commerce platform, IT support and website security providers,
  • Intuition Machines, Inc. as the hCaptcha provider for the configurator security check,
  • Zásilkovna s.r.o. and other carriers selected at checkout,
  • ComGate Payments, a.s. when the buyer selects payment through Comgate,
  • Fakturoid s.r.o. when an accounting or tax document is issued through this service,
  • accountants, legal advisers, insurers and public authorities where required by law or the protection of rights.

Full payment card details are entered in the payment provider's secure environment. SIM Garage does not receive or store them.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some technology providers may use service providers outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred, an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another mechanism permitted by European Union law must be used.

6. Retention periods

  • Order data and contractual communication are kept for performance of the contract and then for the period needed to protect legal claims.
  • Accounting and tax documents are kept for the period required by law, usually 10 years.
  • Claim or return data are kept for the duration of processing and related limitation periods.
  • A customer account is kept while it is used and for a reasonable period after closure, unless a legal obligation prevents deletion.
  • Technical and security logs are kept only as long as necessary to protect the website and resolve incidents.

7. Cookies and browser storage

The shop uses essential cookies and storage for the cart, sign-in, short-term access to order status and pickup point selection. The purchase process would not work correctly without these technologies.

  • Cart and selected pickup point: usually no more than 48 hours.
  • Short-term access to order status: usually no more than 2 hours.
  • Customer sign-in: no more than 30 days unless the customer signs out earlier.
  • A temporary checkout form draft may be stored in the browser session and expires when the session ends.

Optional first-party analytics and marketing storage are currently disabled. If the operator enables them later, they will start only after the appropriate consent. The exact list, purposes, retention periods, choice controls and external services are described in the cookie policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Send requests to info@simgarage.cz. We will respond without undue delay, usually within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7.

9. Security and automated decision-making

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, especially encrypted transmission, restricted access, separation of non-public credentials and security limits on requests.

Access to the configurator is protected by hCaptcha from Intuition Machines, Inc. To detect automated or abusive traffic, it may evaluate the IP address, interaction time, browser data and user interaction. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation and abuse prevention. hCaptcha acts as a processor for this service.

We do not carry out solely automated decision-making that would have legal or similarly significant effects on the customer.
